                              Perhaps Dietrich could restate some of the information from his article in a concise few statements relative to this piece. My understanding of what has been found is

                              1. "A" type crosses have flaws at 9 and 12 oclock corner, and to a lessser extent 3 and 12 oclock. There is no dent row.

                              2. "A" type crosses predate "B" crosses

                              3. "B" type crosses have the flaw at 6 and 9 oclock and the dent row on the lower part of the 3 oclock arm.

                              4. Flawed and non-flawed "A" type crosses are wartime, and preceded the "B" type, unflawed crosses.

                              5. Flawed "B" type crosses are probably post war

                              6. "B" crosses with non-magnetic cores are probably post war

                              7. Dietrich has stated the last "B" type crosses with provenance are the "935- 4" pieces. Is this accurate, or have there been "800" or "800" incused relief crosses with provenance?



                              Beyond that, perhaps there could be more detailed clarification of details on the "B" type crosses that would constitute wartime vs post war.

                              Also, now that it has been pointed out, does anyone find that flat sided loop a little odd?

                                Tom, I think most of what you summarized is accurate and I wouldn't have any confidence in an incused SL 800.
