    Ek1

    58894a.jpg Hello everybody,

I'm new to the world of militaria and found this EK1 online for a reasonable price. Could anybody tell me if this is a real one or a fake one and what you're looking at to determine? Also any help for a newbie would be greatly appreciated, thanks! 58894f.jpg 58894g.jpg 58894e.jpg 58894h.jpg 58894.jpg 58894c.jpg

    Hello,

Looks like an unmarked Klein & Quenzer 1939 EK1. The case looks good as well.

    Best regards,
    Tom

Agree, good K&Q. Price... I'd guess in the $350 range?

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Thank you for the expertise! How do you even begin to identify the manufacturer?

Most all manufacturers of Iron Crosses had tell-tale identifiers. In this case, the K&Q needle on the back, as well as the "1939" date, are unique and easily identifiable...once you know what they look like.
