I did get a case also but that was a realy nice fake will show that in case forum later. The ribbon pice is a full lenght, and im surpriced that the small EK ribbon pice did pass the test off bluelight. Even the stiching tread is ok.

      Been thinking. Dangerous.

Are there any photos/records of widows of soldiers wearing there husbands EK?

Like 'sweetheart broaches'? Just a thought.

I don´t believe so, Allan. It was for sure not allowed to wear the Husbands EK, i cannot imagine something like that in the Third Reich.

I suppose it would be no different from wearing a decoration you weren't entitled too. Quite a severe offence if I'm not mistaken.

What are your thoughts on this type of ribbon Gerd?

          Best,
          Toby.

I like it. You don´t see these often, but of the one, i saw, this one is the most convincing. I have seen other ladies-bows in this style, i will take a look in my archive later, if i can find something.

            best,
            Gerd

              Thanks Gerd!

It looks good to me also. As has been said though, we'll never know with absolute certainty.

              Best,
              Toby.

A lot of comments on the ribbon, but what about the "spider-web"? Would a contemporary item really have this much excess solder?
