This thing has more rivets than my Uncle Billy-Bob's size 64 Levis.

They wanted to make damned sure this medal could survive a Panzerfaust without coming apart.

      hello people

i find this threat very interresting why !
      first nobody likes the dkig.
then comes a message from herr. niemann
      and almost everybody loves it.

can anyone explaine this too me.
i know niemann is a expert but is niemann a man with a greater knowlidge
than a collector who have even a great interrest in medals.
personnely i think this a very strange situation.

      regards johan

I think mr Niemann want`s to have the Dk because he maybe needs an reference piece to show Fake / original.Ore he has seen now an very
rare piece.Everybody likes the Badge now because Mr Niemann has interest
in it so he must be an half God in other countrys.By the way I trust Mr Niemanns Expertisen more then other Dealers.

right below the 1941 looks like jaw marks from a tool or maybe a something was up with the molder they used, if you can find another dkig with that thas was real or fake that could help add more in to the war of proving real or fake

Well, after all material we can see here, is clear that this 14 rivet type is not as 6 or 8 or 10 rivets known types, different black star, different "1941" and wreath, different svastika and silver plate dimentions .

                      Question now is:

original 14 rivets were done similar to the other multirivets or were done totally different from them , with other dies ? Can be.........

                      to experts the answers.......

I am glad we kept this alive to take a closer look. Here is a close-up of the piece in question with a the date of a six rivet deschler.

With the dates and the adjacent wreath alone, marked differences are apparent. As Ivan has pointed out, there are not that many pieces of six and ten rivets with which to compare, so we must not be too quick to dismiss these. However, The adjacent wreath and date are considerably different than that of the 6 rivet deschler.
