Dear All,
Here is a KVKI case that has recently been acquired from lakeside traders. The cross is discussed on this thread http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...42#post2452642 in the crosses forum. Is the case good, on first inspection the case is in reasonably good condition. Unfortuntely the opening button does not function, the spring assembly seems to have been broken and a fix has been attempted by taping the catch in place as can be seen in the below pictures. However what is the writing on the inside of the case ? there seems to be no trace of glue ? The actual black flocked display platform is in good order but the ebossed number code is hidden by the reverse sticking of the flocking, I can recognise the last two letters of M I or M T.
Can anyone offer any advice on whether this is good or not, I'm 95% sure it is, it's just that the writing on the inside of the bottom of the case is just something I've never seen before.
Many thanks to anyone who can assist.
Gareth
