Can we have a view of the catch from an eye level perspective.

I must confess when I first saw this John I wasn't overly keen on the designation or the outer covering very much, I still don't the like the designation.

It does remind of a fake, and I want to help and answer you and I can't say 101% either way.

The catch, has the rounded head as such, 99.9% of the time this is a good trait of course. And what confuses me is the base, I like close up of it (the furrows in the material, opposed to the normal modern velour covering) and this eye level one, I like the look of hump in the base rather than it being dead flat or slightly angled edges.

The wear/age looks false esp in the desigantion.

                        I can't say with conviction.

I need to have a think on this one.

                          John,

like I told you, really we need the base out to be sure. This dotty pattern always has me worried though.

Can you pull back the velver of the base, there were the slit for the pin is, and try and get a shot of the cardboard thats underneath.
If its 3 pieces of cardboard on top of each other its a bad sign.

No doubt these 'dotties' are good, the thing is the obvious crappy fakes use the same designation on the box, which is as style and letters go, exactly the same as good ones.......unlike packets which are much easier to define.

The jury is still out on this one though at the time of posting

Personally I don't think the wear on the exterior matches the wear on the interior.

The interior looks far to 'new'.

                              Just my personal opinion.
