        Sorry John,

        IMO its a repro.
I really don******180;t like any cases that display that dotty pattern and look like they have been rubbed with sandpaper.
The inside view of the case only confirms my suspicions.
These are quiet old repros and the hook mechanism has developed ruist already which can be quiet convincing.

I was more of the opinion of the fact that it would be a good one, but I have two things that bother me.

First as Allan said, that the exterior doesn't match with the wear on the interior, but these things you see sometimes, it's rather strange, but it is possible.

My other worry is that the glue on the inside looks far too new, I have always seen these were the glue is very old and hardened.

That all said, I must say that it was made very professionaly, and I wouldn't know weither this is a good or bad case.

Maybe Marcus can help with the inner part out
          Kind regards,
          Giel

This indeed pertains to a fake, the base and inner box, careful on these springs and mech. as there very similar genuine ones, this catch really got me stumped.

A dual platform base eh ! Clever, the MDF style flat base with a shaped top one.....very clever, this was certianly made to decieve and does very well !!!

I would say this is a fake, but will confirm, I want to check out some of my fake examples I have, I have the feeling this is a UK made box perhaps.

Thanks Ivan, I'm glad you also responded on this one.

I to feel further more this is a reproduction, with checking it against my springs and fixture in a couple of fakes I'm more than certain now. I really do believe this could originate from the UK with the trait of the cardboard in it.

It also brings into question further more a questionable DK case which I think is fake, along with a couple of other known fakes I'd say this para and the DK are definately in the same 'family' of fakes. Very high quality in materials a close to originals !

                More on those another day.

                    Hi Ivan,

It was one that caused much deliberation, I think Michale from Sweden owns it. I'll try to find the thread my friend, as this computer I'm useing isn't mine but the wifes and mine needs a new part, so I don't have access to my files at the moment.

And if anyone knows Stefan from Austria I'd like him to post his DKIG case also for a subject of chat. He sent it to a well known German dealer and got the ok for it, but I differ in opinion on that too. That is one that needs looking at !!!
