We should consider also that the power of the strike of a worn down die can cause some other problems:
a not correct powerful strike of a worn down die = missing details.
Anf if we add the lack of details in a shield lacking in details the result is IMO what we see showed here at the beginning of the thread.
There are some die flaws that are perfectly matching with originals, and IMO are impossible to copy as the metal "bridge" between the beak and the wing.
