Yes this myth started back in the 80's but many DAK collectors knew better even back then...

Hi Steve thanks for the kind words, i tried to get as much detail as possible on these AKCT's as they are really tricky until you know what to look for

I have to echo Steve's sentiments.
A brilliant reference that definitely should be pinned.
        Thanks Tim!!

                Hi Eduardo

Your most welcome, looks to be attached to a French cuff ? AKCT appears to have little signs of being used/worn, except i see holes from a former application ?
Tunic is special, i have a feeling ?

Tim, you are right, the extra holes in the upper side look as a pre-stitching to placed it before sewn the borders.

KM official uniform dated in 1941, tunic and long pants

                          Hi Tom

                            Hi Pascal

Well thankyou very much for pinning this thread. Have spent 30 years looking at the AKCT. With this thread now more visable, hopefully more collectors will avoid getting burned on the many fake's. AKCT's are a good honest AfrikaKorps piece (unlike the Afrika ct which is post Afrika), thats not priced over the moon like many DAK items. Also a special thanks to everyone that contributed in this thread. & please anyone feel free to add any AKCT's original or otherwise

                            Heia Safari !
                            Tim
