I have several of these so called Maedicke shields, both with pins and side tabs.
Here is a typical Maedicke shield with the typical "bad metal" look on brownish backing cloth.Attached Files

This is the same mark you'll encounter on a certain type of KM button. A batch of these KM buttons were found in a cardboard box from Maedicke.
Until today however no 100% evidence has been found that it was indeed Maedicke who used this makers mark.
