          Hi guys,

As we know, the Narvik, Krim, Kuban and Demjansk shields have been identified through a great many different makers ... some known .. some not ... has there ever been an estimate of how many Cholm shield makers or variations (original) are out there?

I do not care for the color of these at all.

And one more question - Is it actually true that the all of original shields doesn't have a paper attached to the backside of shield? For example - all original Cholm what i can saw (on pics of course) haven't paper on reverse.

No problem, I am happy to help. Sorry to say that your last pic only makes me more convinced about my belief this shield is not original.

                            Cholmshield

                            Hello,

@ Ardennes : your shield is a original piece, without a doubt. Congrats on that one.

@ KBH : the prongs as shown do confirm my tought on that shield, it is a fake (one of the best arround but still a fake)

@ as for the types of Cholmshields, well that is a question on wich nobody will be able to say for sure. I can give one advise, iff you want a textbook shield. Then search for the one as posted already multiple ways bu Gene, as the one like Phil does show etc ... Those are the shields that where awarded.

                            Cordial greetings,
my collectionfield : German glider pilots

@ Stijn, where does the Cholm shield from ardennes1944 fit in, officially awarded or privately purchased?

If the shield from KBH is indeed a fake then how do you explain that we haven’t seen more of these shields before?

                                Thanks,
                                Pascal
