The AKCT is a diamondback fake. Not sure on the Afrika ct from these poor photos but suspect it may be also. Need better pics

      Both are fakes.

      My books:

      - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
      - THE SS TK RING
      - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
      - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
      - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

      and more!

Hopefully you have not purchased them. The AKCT is also known as the "tartan weave" fake which is easy to distinguish from the reverse view such as yours.

          This thread may help...

More or less a rule with AFRIKAKORPS titles - although I'm sure someone will jump in with a "not always" - is that if the reverse wire stitching on the loops of the letters is very thin and narrow, it's a fake. See the highlights.

Thanks for the comment, While this is generally the case, its not always true and can be misleading as many good AKCT's have been declared bad because of this feature on another WW2 forum. The holes in the "R & P" can be narrow, This is a myth that started in the late 80's early 90's.. Take a look at the first AKCT the top ct in the set of three. Notice the holes are the same for the "R & P" from the reverse. However the "Diamondback" fakes do have holes resembling slits more than squares or rectangles, so still a helpful observation
