I totally agree with Nigel, DO NOT POLISH ! not only will you ruin it ! but you will devalue it !

Glad to see that you have obtained a nice 57er RK. Even though it is of recent manufacture it is still very nice ...and worthy. Its all a part of the lineage. Don't worry if it gives you the burn for an earlier piece. We are all collectors after all.... we may take breaks, but it seems as if we never really "stop".

Thank you everyone. I'm not tempted to try polishing the frame as I don't want to wreck it. I actually wonder if S&L began to make them this way to stop the tarnishing seen on earlier ones. It would be interesting to know.

If the chance comes in the future for an earlier cross and OL/S that I can afford then I'll grab them. Just glad I've finally got a nice RK of my own.

I'm just waiting to see Tom's new purchase now.

Another one of S&L's secrets, but it sounds plausible. I should have my RK Sat. & hope to post pic's next week. Tom

              Hi Tony,

Sorry, a little late to the party due to work. The RK set looks great! I am glad you were able to get one and I hope an EK2 soon.

Also, please post an image of your '57 EK group as you complete. In fact, it would be cool for everyone to post their '57 EK groups, maybe worthy of it's own thread!

              Best to All
