              I can't remember the source (in German) I saw yesterday, but it said although Major Sann was leading a Naval Marine Regiment, the RK was authorized through the OKW, rather than the OKM.

                Yes that is a fact. He was an Army officer put in charge of the Marine Inf. unit late in the war. I cover his bio in my book. Tom
