What an impressive medal bar. I wonder was he some sort of diplomat or attaché post-war? I see orders from Greece, Italy, Siam (possibly) Iceland etc.

      Great photo Sepp!

Thanks Sepp! I'll get a good scan up asap, so we can have a better look at the medals. Apart from the EK2 they all look foreign like Pierce said, it should narrow down the list of possibilities.

        Regards,
        Nick

I don't know who he is, but the car between them looks to be a 1962 Ford. Tom

                        Great information pierce!

I think I found an id for the man; RKT and diplomat Rolf Friedemann Pauls. Notice how he does not have a left arm.

                        Best regards,
                        Nick

Great work everybody, identifying the medals on the bar, and the RKT himself!!
A unique bar, with that selection of foreign awards!!!

Completely missed the missing arm. Would the Ford be his or is that a military number/license plate? In Australia it would suggest that the Governor (Queen's rep) was present (though the crown denotes a King Rather than Queen)

No doubt he's a diplomat of some kind? I am going to search my OdR address books to see if I can find one listed because they include their post war professions next to their addresses. Tom
