Hello Sepp ! Just wanted to post some reminder info I found interesting: Ludwig Bauer had "Two" 57 Rk's...one with a first patten core & one with a second pattern core. He wore the second pattern core and the other was for "show" or to have a un-worn example. Tom

Is it just me or the cross Nugiseks wore in 1999 is different from the one present at his funeral in 2014?

Well Sepp, this is what I have heard..........He lost his "original" war time cross. He obtained an "original" replacement. The one he wearing in the photo looks to be a 57 and it is not the one on his pillow. Tom

                    Front view of the cross.

                    Is that the "original replacement"?

                    Good info Tom, as usual

Postwar photo of Spanish General Agustín Muñoz Grandes, holder of the KC with Oak Leaves.

He's wearing the Spanish Army uniform, along with the cross on his neck.

Sepp any idea of when this photo dates from ? I know that in Spain they wore awards with swas legally any time after the war, even today it's ok. Tom
