What a great little grouping, Mathijs

It doesn´t always have to be medals as paperwork often tells more.

Absolut great pic of him wearing his 57ers with proud and the OdR membership card is an outstanding piece.

Thanks to Tom who found out the signature at first place, my research brought nothing. I guess Luud has the Steglich group in his collection? Maybe he has some OdR paperwork too. Sadly our dutch friend is got lost by now here

All paperwork from the OdR is really interesting. My member book from Dreike with all members in Nordrhein-Westfalen is so full of information and so well known names in....fantastic

Great grouping, Mathijs....worth to be in your collection

( P.S. wish you luck this evening....i say only Lapp )

Hi guys, thanks for all the nice comments .....

@ Pierce ... I've forwarded a picture of him to the web-master, so they can add more information.
I've done quite a lot of research via this website, so glad to do something back for them.

@ Tom, thanks for the information, I would never have read that name in the signature.
I had been looking like crazy for OdR information on-line, but very little to find.

      Martin Steglich - http://www.ww2awards.com/person/19019
      Walther-Peer Fellgiebel - http://www.ww2awards.com/person/30098

@ Rüdiger - as you know, I'm becoming more and more interested in WW2 veterans in early Bundeswehr.
I've recently added a few more interesting items concerning that matter - more on that later.

Oh, and yes .... "Lapp" is coming my way .

      Grtz
      Mathijs

        OdR information

Hi Mathijs, Yes the OdR is quite a private organisation and thats why they have no on line info or contact page. I do have email contact with them, but even that is only for my use only. I will however help any of our group as much as I can. My contact friend is 92 years old, so I know some day this will end . Let me know if there is anything I can help with, and I will do what I can. Tom

          Hi Tom,

your offer to help about the OdR is highly appreciated I hope that your contact will have a few more healthy years, is he a RK winner? (Don´t need to hear his name).

I know that a few DK winners were members of the OdR although they were not awarded the RK. Is there a chance to look if this guy was a member there? Only of interest and for my research.....it´s Ernst Jürgen Freiherr v.d. Bussche-Haddenhausen

          Thanks in advance

          Mathijs,
sorry that this thread runs new ways......but it´s so often in a discussion that we handle more than the starting post and a thread goes into a new direction
But it´s about the OdR and i know you´re as much interested as me.
          Hope you don´t mind

EDIT....CONGRATS on the Lapp auction Can´t wait to see that...

            Rudiger - OdR files check

Hello Rudiger ! I'm sorry to say that there is no info on v.d. Bussche-Haddenhausen. My contact friend is a Knights Cross winner (25.8.41), but like you said we won't have them much longer. It's the sad part of life we all must face ! Glad I could help just the same and feel free to ask any time. Tom
