    Hi Mathijs!!
I too saw that supposed RKT grouping, but i also thought like Luud, surely a vet would'nt have owned these modern pieces?? Though i suppose its possible017.gif
As for the RK, if you look at the obverse view,i think you can see the ring dipping into the frame, so i dont think its a "B" frame, what look like die flaws might just be the finish and lighting, hard to say from the pics like you say, you'll know better with the piece in hand!!
Did the seller say if it was magnetic or not???????
The case has a chance, could be a bit too shiney looking??? Again hard to tell from the pics, but the basic design & shape seem fine!!
I hope you get a pleasent surprise Mathijs!! Please show us some more pics when you get it!!!!!!!!!

At first congrats to that very nice 2nd pattern from your Hauptmann. That is a very nice 2nd pattern one and will for sure fit wonderful in your collection

To the second one....mmmh, i can imagine your thoughts, looking at your pic. The knee flaw is here very good to see and the outer beadings look flawed too and it has no dipping ring. It can be a trick of our eyes but IMO there´s a chance. On the other side it looks really modern, judging by the finish and core, looks like a one piece one. But a flash can heavily overlight and makes a RK look very modern.

You bought it and i think there´s a chance.....i hope for you the best

I hope the best for you and that it is an earlier b-type that has been repainted.
Please post the pictures if you recieve the cross.
At worst you still have a spare case

But why gamble with so much money if you have much nicer RK's already?
A well, I am probably the last to say this.
I also gambled a lot and it mostly it worked out fine.
But I recieved a small pile of worthless crap already. Sometimes you loose and sometimes you win.
Because I took risks, I also ended up with quit a few very rare/unique items and quite a few 1st pattern RK's for less 50 euro!

Because I'm a single man, earn good money, and have a RK and DKiG addiction .
Not married, no girlfriend, never take holidays ... so what else to spend my money on .

HI Adam, I could only find this on him ...

                  or

Heinz Arthur Berger received on 03/04/1943 as 798th Luftwaffe recepient the KC. Grounds were the defeat of a hostile Panzer attack at a supply route (?) used by the 2nd Armeekorps.
In doing so the Batterie destroyed 20 hostile Panzer vehicles, and it seems Herr Berger destroyed 10 Panzer himself and even destroyed one by hand ...

My German - English is a bit rusty, but you get the picture ...
