Dont think luck has anything to do with it ... most likely deep pockets .

Someone once told me, "always try and buy the rare pieces when they come up for sale, and if you have to sell several less rare pieces to do it, then so be it, the more common pieces will always be there to buy back again sometime later!!" Good advice i always thought!!

                    Same problem here
So I have to stay with 57's for a while longer....although they are skyrocketing also.

Taht´s right Remember what pieces i sold the last months...only to get the Pinkepank and Hartelt items. But the problem is now that there is nothing more to sell....what i have now will be untouched

Mathijs, my iMac is the cheapest version for 1199€. But for that money i got an outstanding computer with 21,5" display - 3,06 Ghz Intel i3 processor - 4 Gb Ram and 500 Gb Harddisk and a well Ati graphics card (i am not a gamer, need no excessive power).....my notebook cost me 1500€ 4 years ago and is still dead....the rest is to find on ebay at Sunday

Yes Rudiger, i remember, as you say, its ok when you have things to sell to raise cash, but if theres nothinjg you want to let go.....
I got a nice early S & L EK1 with the Schyma group, so i might let one of my others go, and put the cash towards something else........

On the other side we all reached a higher level of collecting

I had a nearly complete Heer awards collection...sold most of the stuff for the groups. Now an early IAB makes me not nervous....i have no one and will buy no one. Only if it comes in a group

I idiot decided to collect KM Rare to find and always more expensive than Heer....Luftwaffe is the other expensive area

What i want to say....we are all more and more looking for the higher awards and groupings...trying to find the kick of the rarest one My dream is a group from a u-boat captain who served in the BW Man, that would be rare AND expensive

And for such pieces...KM or groupings i save my money now....no more single usual IAB´s, PAB,s and so on. Numbered yes, of course

Maybe later, when my KM collection has no more gaps

The other tough choice to make, is wether to buy lots of "lesser" pieces, or save your money, wait and wait, and then (hopefully) land the BIG one when it comes up for sale!!!!
It depends how bad our addiction is i guess, i dont like to go too long without my 57 fix!!!!!!!icon_funnehl.gif

I pass on many items and can wait very patiently for the items I really want and not items that I know that I need to resell them (unless I get them very cheap).
If it come to groups, I pass on many groups but invest all my reserves if something like this shows up
(it is actually my wifes group, so according to the law I am 50% owner).

In your case, marriage under shared goods is a positive thing
Seems Mrs. Lucky has quite the collection there ....
