I will try to make some pictures of this group soon.
My friend still has his wartime awards (except RK and golden TDB) and I hope to get them also one day, just maybe.
One RK is a 1957 RK and the other is a very early Souval that he most likely bought as a replacement.

Yes Mathijs, this is one of the very few times that being married under shared goods with Mrs Lucky isn't so bad at all

Cheers Luud, thats very interesting!! I wonder when Souval's postwar RK's first appeared?? Also great to see one in a vets grouping, proof that they were not made just for collectors!

I believe that Bob Hritz has mentioned attending an early RK gathering and seeing several Souval pieces in wear.

Great RK, interesting discussion. Luud, your (wife's) group looks very beautiful, too. Congrats .

I have recently moved over into the "fewer, nicer pieces" camp. I've sold many, many EKs over the past year (mostly 1939s) and invested in a small handful of more expensive, nicer items (mostly WWI). I have one or two small regrets, but nothing too much. I figure I can always find that nice K&Q EK2 somewhere down the line, but how could I pass up the chance to own something like this?

Of course I have hung on to my nicest items, including some very nice 57ers.
              Best regards,
              Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)
