Here's another shameless bump to show off a piece you've seen before.

Again, I've discovered some new settings on my camera and it really makes the pics POP. Compare these pics with the first ones I posted on page one of this thread and notice the marked difference.

    New desktop pics anyone?

Hmm, interesting thought Thomas. This type has been excepted here on the forum as Godet. Your comments provoke thought and research

You have handled this cross, so you know it well. Thank you for your input.

                      Hello

Deschler or |Godet? I'm not sure that Mikes is a Deschler. For comparision I've posted a photo of one of my new form DKiS, (not as early a one as Mikes, but still from the 1960's) which is believed to be from Deschler. Sorry about the quality of the photo, I'll try and get some better shots tomorrow.

                      Regards
                      David

I have an idea who made the DKig from Mike, but I am not sure.
Yours is IMO not a Deschler but a descent S&L with new model wreath!

Please post some pictures of the back.
I expect it to have a wider catch, thin needle and open hinge.

Check Dietrich's excellent reference on DK's; he claims the style Mike posted, like my gold DkiG, is made by Deschler.

Seems there is finally found a maker, the last i knew was "Godet" OR "Deschler". I always thought more on Godet.
George, do you have Dietrich´s book? A collector friend told he saw exactly THIS pic in his book - could not really believe that
If yes - speaks for my photography skills
If not - wonder what he has seen

Before questions come out...i allowed Dietrich to take Photos which i sent to Peter - so it would be ok, of course.

Sorry Mike for putting my ugly DK in your thread but i longer wanted to know this.
And we have a little difference in our pieces - your plate under the hingeblock is a rond one, my plate not.
Or did he mean the second photo....is this in the book

                                Hello

I'll do some good photos of the back and front as soon as I can, but the DKiS that I have posted is not from S&L. This isn't just my opinion by the way, but for now I'll say no more and see what others thoughts are once I've posted some decent photos.

                                Regards
