And the GWB ... it has the nice and early S&L setup on the back. So now decision time ... your quick input on this group is much appreaciated.

                    Hello Mathys

I too have been offered this set. Everything looks ok to me, and I believe that the RK is an Otto Schickle. Nice set.

Will you be putting an offer for them as well?

                    Regards
                    David

The oakleaves look's like a middle S&L production.

I got to my Schickle RK an oakleaves by an unknown maker.

                      Regards

What a lovely Schickle RK Harder to find as an early 1st pattern S&L.
If you can get this RK for a good price (i mean not too expensive) you should grab it....

great RK, i'm not blown away by the oakleaves, but this is one rare bird, if you can afford the price, i'd go for it! Could be a while before another turns up!! Great catch for whoever gets it -Nigel

                            I llike that RK!

I would like to see wich of the two of you will get it.
Nothing much to add on the comments except that interesting Ostmedal ribbon on the mini medals!

The cross is a very nice Schickle RK gents. I hope one of you is able to secure it.

Apparently he was an SS Panzer man as he has a numbered PAB.

Luud as usual shows his good eye in spotting a mismatched Ost medal ribbon.

Not to cast doubt on authenticity, but I did note an odd attribute on the jump ring of the Oaks. The bottom of the jump ring shows significant wear and is not consistant with the wear on the suspension ring of the cross. I'm not saying it's not original to the cross, but the wear is most certainly inconsistant. Note how thin and flattened it is where the arrow is pointing. Perhaps is not wear, but a flattened area caused in the manufacturing process?

                              Have a look here...
