Hello
Nice KVK Nigel. However, the case is not in the halbetui style. The halbetui cases are distinguished by having no front button or catch and no rear metal hinge. Instead the top of the case is a reasonably close fit to the raised portion of the base, and uses the inner lining and outer case covering to act as a hinge. Halbetui cases were also used late in the war as well for the very early 57 pieces.
Regards
David

Here is a halbetui case. There are no front buttons or catches used on this style of case. Note also the raised lip running around the base. This allows the top section to close quite tightly onto the base.Attached FilesLast edited by DavidM; 01-09-2009, 05:18 AM.
