    Sepp Dietrich 1957 RK

Thanks to Ingsoc from Israel who informed us about this photographic evidence. The photo clearly shows that Dietrich is wearing a Ritterkreuz of the new 1957 form. I had the photo up in photoshop and it looks like the other RK owners in the photo is wearing the same. It did not show as clear as on the cross of Sepp Dietrich though.

Who is the person on the right, he looks famyliar.

Yust look how much Sepp has aged in 10 years... when you compare pictures from him of 1944.

        Now this begs another question.

Are the OLS & Diamonds original issue or '57 pattern?

Could the Diamonds be enlarged enought to make out the details better?

15 years. Not 10. The photo above is from 1959. 1944 to 1959 is 15 years. Sepp stayed alive through two world wars and 10 years in prison accused for warcrimes. When the photo above was taken he had just started to fight heart conditions. No wonder the man looks a bit older at an age of 67.

I think he looks pretty damned good there for living through all of that and being near 70 years old in that photo.

I'm bringing this up to the top again.

Does anyone know if Sepp's Diamonds that are shown in the picture above his originals or '57s or ???.

                    Still curious about. Thanks.

                      57 Diamonds

I don't think they made 57 Diamonds. So I believe originals.

Just to repeat what Nick asked - does anyone know who else is in the photo with him?

Sepp's Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves, swords and Brilliants. And yes, they are all 1957 period made.

                              57

Bob, the Diamonds must have been 'custom made', weren't they?
