    Greetings all,

Really neat pick up this weekend. The name is Robert W. Trottier. He was an officer in the 87th infantry and was killed in Frankfurt Germany in a car accident. I have paperwork and rosters etc. But, the archives only return the results for enlisted men.

    All advice is greatly appreciated.

    Best... George

      Wwii enlisted mans info

Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows what some of the items on this index card mean, aside from the obvious date of birth, death and serial number. My limited research showed this fella was wounded and subsequently died of his wounds in France during wwi. NARA was only able to locate this card for me. Thanks!

        Research Help

        Hello Folks,
I have a U.S. M43 Field Jacket I found years ago in a small town here in Texas. Inside is penned in black ink the name PIERCE D. and two sets of numbers.
Hand lettered in white paint is: C 15449776 and penned in black ink is:
        14459604.
Using this information would one of you here on this forum have the sources or suggest the sources to find out what branch, rank and so on of the original owner?
Thank you in advance for your help.
        Mike

          Hello,
Can we learn more about this American soldier?
Here is his name and his number, that corresponds well to the second war?
          Caporal. David P. Wilke

          Thank you in advance .
