Take a close look at the stars on the KSM. The center and right stars show wear on the high points, the one on the left does not. You've worn ribbons, which ones wear out the fastest? In my experience, the outer ribbons do as they brush up against things more.
If you look at the outermost left star, it has no wear and the star on the National Defense matches that pattern star, not the other two.
Bottom line Paul, if Ron is happy with the bar, so be it, I don't care but as the first post placed this bar along with a Chief rating badge, then clearly there was a problem and they did not belong together.
