My USAF Cold War/Korean War photos

I have some great (IMHO!) USAF Cold War 1950s press-type photos. This photo shows shows a North American B-45 Tornado bomber with a Boeing KB-29 tanker. The B-45 was America's first operational jet bomber, and the first jet to be refueled in midair. It served from 1950-59.

This photo shows a flight of four Republic F-84G Thunderjets scramble. The F-84G was introduced in 1951 and was retired in the mid-60s.

These photos show a Boeing B-47 Stratojet refueling from Boeing KC-97 Stratotanker. The B-47 entered service in 1950, as did the KC-97.

This photo shows airmen saluting a two star General, in front of what appears to be a Douglas DC-6 or C-118 Liftmaster. I am guessing it's not a DC-4 or a C-54 Skymaster, because the distance from the wing to the nose looks a bit short. I would appreciate any advice on this please!

I'm pretty sure the aircraft is a VC-131 Samaritan
