If my google history is correct, the puppet govt of Manchuria was established in 1934, so that should mean this blade was made in 1944, right?

Thank you for all of your help!! On the blade, before your translation I and two advanced sword collectors felt it was Teisho period. The one who saw it last week was unsure as I am if it is hand forged or now, I need to work on it with never dull to help figure that out. From your translation it sounds like 1944 would be a logical conclusion, odd blade different then anything I have ever had before. I will have to find the fittings, they are buried someplace but I have been working on the saga, it was trashed when I got it!Comment
