      Thanks Bruce for the pics. I contacted the previous owner, and he did say the sarute was a replacement. It looks like a piece of welding rod someone bent to fit. Obviously a post war addition. I contacted Fred, and have an original sarute on the way!

      Yes, all the parts are numbered "91".

            Update! I got the correct sarute in and installed it to the sword. Looks good, and patina matches very closely to the rest of the mounts. With the sarute in place, I installed a Navy officers tassel as well. I think it looks much better now.
            What do you think?
