    wrench bring back

    #2
Found the answer by Googling the kanji!!. Spanner (Japan & UK) = Wrench (America)

    銃身止スパナ
    Jūshin tome supana
    Barrel Stop Wrench

    用心金栓スパナ
    Yōjingane sen supana
    Trigger Guard Plug Wrench

Found an illustration of the trigger guard .... but it's on a 火縄銃 (hinawajū; matchlock).

Can't think of what you call it in English, but it's the mechanism that holds the barrel into the receiver; apparently this weapon used a bolt to hold it in place, since it required a spanner to insert/remove.

用心金栓スパナ = trigger guard plug spanner
Basically, the tool you use to take out / put in the thing that makes the weapon even safer to carry around.

So as always, Guy has the write translation! The actual exact application for this wrench is for a Type 99 lmg kit (see attached)

Thanks! Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?

Actually, it could be for the Type 99 or the Type 96 lmg - one of them has the head and tail at a slight offset angle, the other does not. Can't remember exactly which is which...
