Hello and thank you Gunto, I know you are an expert of IJN dirks. I had the feeling someone took off the cherry flower from the tsuka of à naval dirk to stick it on the locking mechnism of this swork . But indeed this flower may come from a lot of places!

The sakura lock clip is the one made for this koshirae. I have seen this feature many times before.
