      村上

Murakami Sama [Mr. Murakami]; the family name means "Village Above". The writing of on the hatbox is done in a written/simplified form.
Also, the embroidered name inside the hat lining is the same 村上; only, a written, fluid, style was employed.

There are various ways of saying/writing "Mr." according to one's social relationship:

Kun: to subordinates or younger [kimi is the same kanji; in spoken form you are asserting your superiority when addressing someone as "kimi"]

さん San: to peer [or higher]

Sama: to someone higher in the social order, also used on letter addresses; formal; today, it's mostly a written format

殿 Dono: very very formal; also used on certificates

And possibly more, but I don't know that much.

      Nice collection!
