        BTW, for the display purpose in the museum, these medals is fine to place with the uniform?

              To embellish a bit on Dan's post, it is the rank of a first lieutenant 中尉 Chuu-i.

              I was going to (incorrectly) guess "captain". When I was in the US Army we still used "french braid" (aka "galoons") to denote officer rank on the mess dress uniform. A second lieutenant had only the fancy cuff without french braid; 1LT had a single braid; CPT had two braids; MAJ had three braids, etc.

              To me, it appears the Japanese system is/was easier to decypher the person's rank.
