Cupman3 and a Chinese WWII flag

I was looking through the Japanese items on ebay and I noticed this Chinese flag. It was 8'x11' (huge!) and I remember a similar flag listed on ebay more than two weeks ago:

    Pictures are still there.

What is interesting is that Cupman3 has the same flag now, but he attached a so called Japanese captured message on it.

Notice that the flag is stiched in rows and compare where the holes are with the position. Cupman mentions that he placed it on his car so some other holes can't be seen.

There is differences with holes 2 and 4. It is because in the original auction, the seller did not unfold the cloth where as cupman did. There is also another large hole in the blue canton in cupmans picture that I did not mention, which also can be seen in the original seller's picture (the 1st one I posted).

Too bad this flag ended up in cupmans hands. I wanted to bid on this flag but I thought to myself where would I store it since I can't display it nor how to conserve it since it may also have been eaten by bugs? $50 was a good deal for a giant Chinese flag most likely from the WWII era.

Also interesting to note that the bidder of the original auction was deuce16.

    He made a recent purchase:

From what I read, cupman is known to add stamps to everything.

Cupman has got to be the dumbest guy around. What idiot would cut up a flag to try and squeeze a few extra dollars out of it. He ruins antiques. I also love Cupman's failed attempts at writing Kanji on items (which looks like a total "Gaijin" wrote it) with incorrect Japanese grammer.

Has anyone ever met the guy? Is he an old guy? What is he like in person?

So the side of the flag reads "Imperial Japanese Navy"......on a Chinese nationalist flag. Wow, I wonder if he thinks before he writes.

At least it looks like Forest Cump didn't write directly on the flag this time.

I've seen at least three of these so called Japanese captured nationalist flags coming from cupman. What an idiot.

Actually by construction (corners, header, ropes, field sections) this China
Nationalist flag (formerly #300386993305) is IMO Japanese made. As such
likely one from a Japanese ship's flag locker or even GI found at wars end in
mainland Japan Imperial Navy depot stores, with holes added later for effect.

I just love to read cupman's "story" with the items.

                  ZERO-sen:
In this case with the ROC flag being IMO Japanese made, that would
make it rather difficult to capture - i.e., capturing your own stuff?
In that very regard, I've not seen many Japanese captured enemy
flags, when the USMC retook Guam the 1941 US National flag was
found still in the port HQ building. Likewise when Hong Kong was
retaken in 1945, a UK regimental color was still in the HK Central
Bank vault. As such I tend to think such souvenirs were not the
norm for the Japanese military ilk during WW2.

                      You guys are great....

Wow. I thought I was the only one who Noticed this giant Chinese flag fraud. I saw it Sell in the first auction only to see it show up again a month later in Cupmans hands with EXTRA stuff added!!!!!!!! I almost bid on the original large Chinese flag but forgot the auction end time and missed it. My first thought was, OH NOOOOOOO, What is he going to add to it this time?? ....He destroys these things. He simply doen't care. Too bad we cant keep track of his artistic fakes, I don't have the time.....I collect Japanese flags, I am very disturbed what he does. He has been doing this for years. I guess he thinks the Japanese collecting community is stupid or something. It's a shame.

CUPMAN, please, please stop!!!!! Hey Cupman, don't be mad at us, it's your behavior that's the issue. That is, "Fraudulent behavior".

                      JCB

PS. He DID write on the original flag. He added "17.3.3" to the side. The same date is on the silk stripe on the bottom. I guess thats supposed to be the Japanese Capture date(??) Look at Picture 7 in Cupmans auction. It's probably written in ink so you won't be able to remove it.....

shouldnt this be reported to EBAY as FRAUD?

because you can tell it's the same flag with a different story and writing added
