guys on American Pickers found a WWII Japanese helmet!

the helmet was dusty, dirty... right from the attic..... but decent...

I feel it's worth about $300 as is.

I was thinking the same thing...it has to be set up.
If You've ever been on back roads anywhere in USA....then you know there is a rifle behind every darkened screen door when your a stranger....and they are calling everyone else on their phone out in the boonies to be ready for you.

Besides, their appearances certainly dont inspire confidence.

I saw them pull that helmet out fron the cubbyhole in the ceiling...I dont believe they really thought it was US....probably a script for gullible viewers to feel secure in not knowing anything either.

It's been mho that this show (like others) is staged, and as such, is fake and full of s***. These clowns couldn't buy thier way out of a bad garage sale, let alone a "real" untouched attic or basement. They are rehersing way too much, and it shows. I just hope they disapear fast, and don't drag on for too long. Of course, just my 2 cents.

They even thought it was an American helmet because of the star on the front Yeah, I cringe every time that happens!, I want it to be me finding it! Last week they got a Japanese sword from another guy. He had 2, but they only picked up 1 as he wanted $200 for each. The old guy even had a Japanese rifle and bayonet they left behind.

I agree with birdie!, these two just ripped off a Japanese helmet that was from Iwo Jima... (didn't see the episode with the sword). To me they have no clue to the importance of this helmet, not only to the family but the history of the battle and heavy loss we had. They will now tag it "A pick-up from Iwo" and put a hefty price on it....SAD!. This is the worst show on History Channel, it should be renamed "How to rip-off Old Folks and Make Money".........

I agree, heck I cant even stand the show. Its disgusting seeing how they rip everybody off. Is it just me or do they seem like a "couple'?

well the Price of History is even worse than american pickers when it comes to ripping people off..... if people knew where to seel their items well they would get the right price and not fall to guys like these, yet I believe that its all sataged.....
