Seems the fomer owner of this helmet found a confortable way to wear it telling by the net inside! Will wait on the papers aswell! Really nice one, thanks for sharing such an unusual lid!
Thanks for the kind words Fabian. Will post new info as I receive it. Leif my dear friend. Variety is the spice of life lol. I had mentioned this one to you some time ago. I had given up hope of ever getting it. When it was offered.... Well I never "look a good helmet in the mouth" so to speak lol. Esp with the period foliage still on it. It is a wonderful, unique, & untouched combat helmet. I really like it. Thanks for the comments guys.

Great helmet Scott! I have seen two body nets that had corresponding dyed foliage in each of the different color fields.
Thanks Jareth, yes some of it is the like color dyed that came on these. a good bit is natural foliage that was hand applied as pictured in post #21. Thanks again.

That helmet is superfragilisticexpialidocious. I love it, it has character and is a one looker. super find and addition to your collection. Again congratulations.
David.
I could have sworn that I remembered being told this helmet was from Iwo. I was informed that it was in fact captured on Okinawa. It was a long time ago when I was told this. At any rate it is a killer untouched helmet. I have some documentation coming soon on this one. Thanks for the kind words buddy.
