The trousers are also SNLF (sorry Ron, didn't mean to hijack the thread).

I have the Nakanishi book out looking at the NLF uniforms trying figuare this out. Dan does your tunic have a metal belt ramp on the right side? It appears only officers tunics have the cloth belt support on the left side the petty officers and enlisted didn't have them. Is that correct? He shows enlisted pants like the ones shown, but with leg ties and his officers pants with the buttons but no pockets. This book is a little hard to intepret. Do these pants have slit front pockets?

David,
There is a cloth belt support secured by a gold colored metal Navy button on the left side. The trousers have slit pockets to the front and two patch pockets to the rear.
Here's the initial link to the grouping from several years ago:

The Nakanishi book shows the cloth belt support on the left with the addition of a metal hook on the right I was curious if the was a provision for the hook on yours. Dan that's a nice set-up I've been looking for a tunic and pants for awhile. I really only need a NLF first pattern helmet cover tunic and pants and boots and I will have everything I want Japanese pretty much.Last edited by Banzi64; 01-31-2008, 02:51 PM.
