The trousers are also SNLF (sorry Ron, didn't mean to hijack the thread).

Nice one Dan. Is this the one I saw when doing a search on this forum? You have posted this before correct? Nice!

That's correct Scott. There's a thread going way back showing both the jacket and trousers inside and out. Since there were so many questions and comments on SNLF uniforms and equipment, I thought I'd throw it in the mix again.

Here is a pic of my NLF pants. I have the tunic that goes with it both in mint condition.

You have all the hard parts already. A helmet should be easy to find. That is a really nice set up. I usually don't like full body displays because they look so gangly. Your is quality all the way. Really nice. Is your 3 button a brownish color or is it my computer screen? Mine is the greenish color so much of their stuff was.

Thank you Scott. Both the jacket and trousers are actually greenish.

Maybe someone should start an SNLF uniform clothing tread (if it hasn't already been done).

I have the Nakanishi book out looking at the NLF uniforms trying figuare this out. Dan does your tunic have a metal belt ramp on the right side? It appears only officers tunics have the cloth belt support on the left side the petty officers and enlisted didn't have them. Is that correct? He shows enlisted pants like the ones shown, but with leg ties and his officers pants with the buttons but no pockets. This book is a little hard to intepret. Do these pants have slit front pockets?

                            David,

There is a cloth belt support secured by a gold colored metal Navy button on the left side. The trousers have slit pockets to the front and two patch pockets to the rear.

Here's the initial link to the grouping from several years ago:

The Nakanishi book shows the cloth belt support on the left with the addition of a metal hook on the right I was curious if the was a provision for the hook on yours. Dan that's a nice set-up I've been looking for a tunic and pants for awhile. I really only need a NLF first pattern helmet cover tunic and pants and boots and I will have everything I want Japanese pretty much.

As mentioned, you have the really rare stuff and finding a nice Navy helmet with metal insignia should not be too difficult, just expensive!
