Previously posted here from Iwo Jima. A few more helmets from Iwo Jima have turned up since this one was posted that also utilized cut up multi color body nets as helmet nets. This one was the whole body type with part made to cover helmet. Only one of these I have ever seen.

Of course I think that it is another matter whether the camouflage net found around 2017-2018 is genuine or not.

Love to see that spec if it is possible. I agree "the recent ones" have material differences.

Like the later model (banded/reinforced edge) Army Helmet cover spec - nice find

I got the specifications of Military Net #2.
But due to copyright issues, I can't show it here.

I would like to write the following information.
According to the specifications, the size is 150 cm square, and there are diagonal opening.
The size of the mesh is 5 cm square.
There are two strings to connect the openings, and the length is 50 cm. (In the specification, it is written as breast strings 乳綱).

Now, I measured the size of the military net I purchased.
The size was 110-120 cm square, and the size of the mesh was about 6 cm.
The length of the breast strings was 20 cm. The size of the military net that found around 2018-2019 is different from the specifications.
Could anyone measure the size of a similar military network found long ago?

Scott, that is one of my old ones I sold many, many years back. I wish he would lay it out and take a good picture - just for all of us!

The scrim tied onto that one is incredibly crafted. I had it over a IJA soldier mannequin with everything in mint condition. I had a mint cover, helmet, rifle with a mounted late war bayonet, mint pigskin EM shoes and all that with the mintiest rubberized canvas belt and matching 3 pouch ammo set I've ever seen. And all the rest too (canteen, breadbag, etc). It was just stunning and would scare the hell out of you if you didn't know it was there and suddenly came around the corner. Wife wasn't a real fan. Then I started having kids...

I also had a lot of military equipment when I was single, but I sold it before I got married. I also had some SS camouflage smock and SS officer caps.
Everything was real. I thought my wife wouldn't understand my hobby.
After getting married, my wife understood my hobbies, so I am collecting again.
