The flaws in the blade are fatal I believe they are core metal coming through so it kills the value as a Japanese sword
But it is an old sword taken to war so I would say it’s worth $650-850

Thanks Nick for your reply, I took this in a trade and it owes me considerably more but I do understand blade condition is very important. It's age and patina make it a very interesting piece none the less.
