I think the version of Amaterasu Ōmikami on your sword is an older/archaic version; I have seen it on Japanese sites:
天照皇太神
Tensho Kodaijin (Amaterasu Ōmikami)


This is one of the other forms used; compare the Ō kanji:
天照皇大神
Tensho Kodaijin (Amaterasu Ōmikami)


Usually Amaterasu Ōmikami is written:
天照大御神
Amaterasu Ōmikami


Here's what the online dictionary shows:
