    French WWII Shirt material

    Hello,

I am interested in some close up shots of a French WWII army shirt. Close enough to see the weave and cloth pattern. I am in a discussion about a WWII German printed eagle That is done on a French lining or shirt material.

Here is the discussion thread(2nd pattern eagle mentioned) : http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=811839

I have posted my eagle of this same pattern. Thank you for any assistance or help provided.

      Hello Ir 143,

Thank you for the link on these shirts. It will give me some help.

Does anybody out there have an example of these shirts so they could take some close ups of the weave of the material? Thanks again.

          Hallo Ir 143,

Can you take some close up pictures of your shirts so that the weave can be seen? Than you very much. This is what I am looking for:

              Hello Ir 143,

Thank you for you comment on this material. Did you see the larger picture on post #39 of this thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=811839 It shows a very close up of the material.

              Best regards,
              Fred

                  Hello,

Thank you again. This material was also considered to be a French lining material. If anyone happens to have any of this French material used as a lining in German Heer tunics I would love to see some close up shots if possible.

I had Paul McKee compare it to the lining material ,in his tunic, that another forum member said that it was made out of. It was not a match.

Thanks again for all of your assistance.

                  Fred

I am still looking for the material used on this printed eagle. I am bringing this up again for a discussion thread here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=834037 Thanks.
