i have talked to him on the phone and he says that he's taken it to many shows and many dagger collectors have said it is different but looks to be good.
Hi Gregory. You do not show the blade but I am confident it will have the gold hungarian crest on it. This is a known fake (copy to be polite) of a dagger that was completely unheard of until about a year ago. I have discussed this with Kurt Glemser and he is in agreement. We posted photos of this dagger on other web sites but missed this one. The Hungarians are turning out numerous daggers using original dies and their Air Force daggers are becoming better than the originals. I.e. in the 10 or so years they have been putting them out, they have eliminated most of the tell tale signs.
ya i have found out it is a fake and have contacted the seller and he said it was on consignment and is now marking it as a post was reproduction, he wanted 500.00 for it.....
also i contacted the author of the above e-mail address and he got a laugh out of it as well.
