Japanese Translation

I'm trying to get the stampings on a Japanese helmet liner Translated. Anyone know Japanese? Thanks Joe

The name written in it is Takahashi ( last ) Kameo ( first ). The kanji on the far right looks like Seisotai, but a bit hard for me to see.

From your additional photo, it definately looks like Seisotai to me, which ( I think ) were the people who managed the supply warehouses.

Kameo Takahashi was with Seisotai unit or force. A warehouse or supply unit. Joe

Here's the latest on The Kanji translation. When I first started searching for the translation. I surfed around the web & found a web site about kanji from Wake Forest U. which is nearby. I sent the Coordinator of Asian Languages & Cultures an email and ask him if he knew the translation. I really did'nt think they would bother with it. I received an email back from WFU this morning. The Coordinator forwarded my email & photo to a Lecturer in Japanese at WFU. Here's what he said
The three kanji characters on the right represent the name of the unit the soldier belong to- it reads "Saikura Tai" (Saikura unit). I believe Saikura is the last name of the leader of the unit.
The name of the soldier is written on the left side(four characters).The first two kanji is the last name. "Takahashi" and his first name is "Kameo"
The middle line is the name of the former unit Mr.Takahashi belonged to. It reads "Togashi Tai"(Togashi unit)

Very nice! Compared to that one, the Jap helmet that I own is nothing more than a rusted bucket.

It's been my favorite helmet sense I got it about 3 years ago. More so now knowing the Japanese soldier's name that wore it.
Now if I can find out anything about"Saikura Unit" or "Togashi Unit" I might could find out where Takahashi served. Anyone know of a good starting place to find out about Japanese Units?
