Then what are you trying to ask? Is the shirt fake?

If I saw that shirt and it was at a decent price( I would never EVER the price the that was paid for a shirt that size, mint or otherwise) I'd have no doubts about it what so ever.

I guess I just don't understand the uncertainty.

I think it is a fair price for a mint shirt in size Asian large - for an authentic shirt that is.
Larry Stone Books recently listed a mint set in size US large for $700 and it sold fairly quick.

I dont know what you paid , I paid $15 shipped for mine and its stone mint , but Asian Small , the smaller sizes bring much less money , and Silver/Tadpole does not bring as much as say "Golds".
I did sell a set of Gold pants for about $900 , but they were a U.S. Med and dead mint as well , prices vary greatly .

          These are the measurements:

          Chest 20 1/2 inches
          Shoulder to shoulder 19 inches
          Sleeve to cuff 23 inches
          Lenght 29 inches

This Asian Large is like a US Medium.
          It was offered for $300.

Of in-country made garments, we concentrate on size Asian Large or bigger.

Some are happy to pay that amount , I personally probably would not have paid more then $175 , But I always look for deals , in general you paid about full retail in my opinion , and as long as your happy , dont worry about it , its a nice shirt !

There is no set price guide collecting this stuff , even ebay fluctuates wildly for the same items .

We thoroughly study the market and the prices such items demand.
Some time ago I personally acquired a factory sealed Tiger Stripe shirt in size AL that was purchased in-country in the year of 1967 for the same price. This came from a 5th Special Forces veteran who had saved it all these years.

                  We = four collectors.
What you are refering to is nonexistent over here, with the exception of eBay and online dealers of course.

I went back to check the topics over at US Militaria Forum again.

                    Then I found this thread:

                    http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/foru...=tadpole&st=40

Look for the post made by Copran about the "Silver Tadpole pattern, made in 2001":

                    Attached image(s)

All these reproductions have caused me to become very critical over the years.

This faded shirt is from Rally Point Militaria:

It looks very much like the shirt in question, the brown is just a bit brighter.

However, this must be the closest match to the shirt in question I have found so far:

It is claimed to be genuine, but I am not sure about the credibility of the source (http://macvsog.yuku.com/topic/578).

This also seems to have more of a tan color instead of the brown, but the garment is photographed from a distance and consequently this might make it appear like this.

That source is me. I took that picture. I don't know who you are either so suffice to say your credibility with me is mutually suspect.

I purchased the shirt from a collector friend of mine who had it well before 2001. I believe it to be genuine. I have observed and handled first hand repro 'tadpole' shirts as far back as 1987, from Sam's Militariya.

Those are the facts, make of it what you will.

That might have been a bad wording.
What I meant was not specifically about your post, but the credibility of the website as the photograph is found in a sub forum of a site titled "1/6th Scale Action Figures of the Viet Nam Era".
