The Phenomena that i saw in Saigon and Hanoi so far was that the Surplus shops are buying US items (Vietnam Era) from South Korea. I was lucky enough to see the boxes with shipping labels in the shops, and the contents were still in many of them- OD M-65 Jackets and other gear. At the same time you get told its from 1965-75 because they think you have no clue. One tiny shop in Hanoi obviously even knew a famous name even on our forum as they had one of his repro Tiger Boonie hats which they first tried to pass off as real to me, so at least we got to the point where i asked where is the real stuff, didn't have time to stay till the next day though, maybe next time.

are those stuffed mongooses .when on guard duty i used to watch the mongooses play under the lights on pole next to the wire. if they stopped playing i knew someone might be trying to make it thru the wire.long bien 70
