I got this today with US WWI camo. I am not sure which one is it, so any help would be appreciated. I did not clean it still has mud inside of it. They guy said that his uncle got it from the field, and the US camo was his.
    thank you for looking
    regards Rajko

And what you guys think about the value of it?
    thank you very much.

    regards Rajko

the German camo might have been touched up some. All I see in the area where the paint chips off is rust. I'd like to see original field gray in at least some of those area.

Superb camo helmet , looks like it had a label on the side at one stage , well done for not cleaning it, it would devalue the helmet ( to me anyway) . A fine Us helmet as well . Rob
God please take justin bieber and gave us dio back

So the Green panel that intruds onto a black divider line is not any worry? Lines are painted over the camo, you should not see the panel covering over the line as this helmet has.

Maybe the soldier who painted it was not very good but even if there is a good explanation for it, it's not an oddity I would want to fork over any cash for.

Edit: Spcifically the photo in post #6
And I see at the end of the visor (outside) what looks to be the only original fatory paint to be seen. badly faded however.

I took pictures outside but it was getting dark so I will take few with the flash.
And about rust I will take better pictures of it. There is original green in almost every spot where the camo paint is missing, but at this point some of that paint is coming off and showing rust. And about the lines, the top of the helmet is worst shape them bottom. There is much more damage to the lines toward the top. Everything looks it was done at the same time. Colors all match so if somebody try to add some color it would be almost imposible to match the colors. I will take the better pictures of it, so I hope that would help.
I got this from a garage sale, the uncle died and all his stuff got put in garage in the corner. I got 2 French helmets WWI, and one WWI British, and the guys cantine with his name on it dated 1918.

Are you referring to the odd colored blue-green painted panels?

I like what I see so far... It appears to be a pretty nice UNTOUCHED original. I would like to see additional photos if you get a chance to post them. Lastly, as Robb mentioned... DO NOT CLEAN IT!!!
