Hey Ron,

It does have thinning paint looks like due to wear. The one I posted that the other member says is bad, the one that ken of German Helmets inc. owns has thin paint, no real brush marks and little wear.

What do you think of the differences?

I honestly don't think I am qualified to give a judgement.

I do know that Ken N has owned thousands of helmets, and examined tens of thousands more over the years, and if he says that it is good, I would trust his experience.
