The auction ended without meeting his reserve. I made him an offer to purchase, and he accepted. The plate is questionable, but we're going to find out one way or the other when I get it. I will test it then post pictures for evaluation from our WAF experts..

Seems like der rittmeister had an original plate for sale a while back seems like it was earlier this month.You might check with him to see if he would let you send him a photo to get his opinion,if you cant determine if its good or not ... as i just checked , and didn't find it now. To your first question... ABSOLUTELY NOT! What you are seeing is a completely untouched example, with original dirt and mud straight off the battlefield.

As for the plate... I will not return it. I bought the whole setup not just the plate. Everything, "but" the plate will be sold.
