Here's my question. Did a Hauptm dR Zeidler with the LGR 100 recieve the St. Henry Order during WW1? Here's the dilema. I have a named tunic with a St. Henry Order ribbon on the buttonhole and was identified as Arno Fiedler, who was a St. Henry recipient in 1915 as an oberleutnant dR. The tunic is dated 1911 and the rank in the label is a hauptman dR. The rank on the tunic is for a hauptman, and the boards are prior to 1915. These discrepancies bothered me, so I took the tunic off his form this morning and checked the label and then checked my 1914 Saxon ranglist. Aside from finding Obrlt dR Fiedler, I also found a Hauptm Zeidler; BOTH from LGR 100. It appears to me that on the tunic label shows "ei" vs "ie" in this chaps name, but I would like to get some other opinions from you all. Anything you can find is much appreciated.
